Content Management System and Image Copyright using Microsoft ASP

Vasanthakumar V Ferdin Joe .J
Lecturer, CSE IV B.E. CSE
KCG College of Technology
Abstract
WWW plays a major role in many activities of human life including bank transactions, e-mails, search engines etc. Initially, the websites were built using mere HTML coding and some javascripts to give special effects to pages. Lot of establishments starting from small business people, educational institutions to larger firms are having their registered domain in the WWW and desired amount of space. When technologies increase, piracy and hacking always agreat challenge in this aspect. So, Content Management System (CMS), a new technology has come to override the challenges faced by websites designed in HTML. Any web application or web service designed using CMS has the designed server pages as well as an admin site to edit the contents of the website without the help of the designer or programmer. Images can be copied easily from a website which is normally designed with HTML. But by using properMeta codings and algorithms in the form of scripts, Image piracy can be controlled. In this paper, the image copyright and Content Management Systems are explored in two web applications using Microsoft’s ASP.Net.

Longtime since offline to blogging

First of all, I would like to apologise to the followers and readers of my blog (People from IBM developer works ofcourse). Right from the completion of my graduation, I became a bit lazy, even to visit the dashboard of my blog.
I am now pursuing my Masters degree from Einstein College of Engineering, Affiliated to Anna University, Tirunelveli. Amidst high demand for ME CSE, I managed to get in an Anna University Affiliated institution rather than spoiling my career in a Deemed University.
Life at Tirunelveli is not that cosmopolitan like Chennai. Red hot sun, least frequent route buses, food for stomach alone (Not tasty... Even Chat shops will make better chappathis in Chennai).
After getting bitched off from all the above mentioned negatives, many people asked me "Did'nt you like the southern region of Tamil Nadu? The good water, good climate etc etc...?" But I would frankly like to say that I am unable to make some good earnings as I did in Chennai. Teaching methodologies for UG is like spoon feeding in schools. This happens to all colleges affiliated to Anna University, Tirunelveli. God's grace I didn't join hostel as I would not be alllowed to use even my mobile.
My fear is, will I get outdated from the latest trends in technology? will i get any more workshop being attended as a member of Chennai IT Professional User Group or IBM developer works as a DW enthusiast?
But I got to live with it atleast for the next 15 months. Praying to get a positive attitude towards my current environment.

Anti Ragging Regulations - Boons and Banes

Anti Ragging! The new agenda before educational institutions and the governing bodies for a noble cause. The issue became so serious after the death of Kachru, a first year student. The same intensity is followed up in Tamil Nadu also.

Anti Ragging act should be passed both in State and Central Government levels to the maximum possible extent so that no more crime happen. It is a boon for innocent junior students, which enables them to lead a peaceful life in college and hostels.

In the mean time there are some possible drawbacks which are to be considered to save the innocents who are being caught convicted for ragging. Like all the other rules in the constitution, this rule should not be like "Whatever the junior says is right and what the senior says is wrong".

Current situation is like that. Recently my friend was convicted for ragging. He works as a part time employee in a BPO, which is termed to be one of the best BPO in the world. The case was like the first year guy was ragged during night. This guy goes to office only during night shifts. But this fellow was blindly convicted.

Gods grace! he got releived as he had all the proof to state that he is not in the accused row. Solutions need to be given to prevent this type of misconceptions. So a clear enquiry may be conducted so that the charges are clear and to conduct identity parade. Based on the victimized first year student's identification, accused may be punished.

This has to be done compulsorily because, most of the senior students wont be familiar among the first year student. They are forced to point out the offenders blindly. Video conference system can be introduced so that the victims can poit out the offenders without revealing their identity.

I will be the happiest person if the real accused is punished in this case. But not even a single innocent should be punished. In tamil there is a proverb,

ஆயிரம் குற்றவாளிகள் தப்பிக்கலாம் ஆனால் ஒரு நிரபராதி தண்டிக்கபடகூடாது.
